THE EIGHTH FRONT
American journalist Max Blumenthal aptly described the hybrid war Israel is waging in the United States, which—for now—is essentially focused on propaganda, that is, control of the media. The United States is the Jewish state's irreplaceable rear base, without whose support—economic, military, political, and diplomatic—it would simply disappear within a few months. Control of this rear base, therefore, is a vital issue for Israel. Until now, it has been possible to exercise it essentially through the Zionist lobbies in North America—of which there are two: one, represented primarily by AIPAC, made up of the leading representatives of the Jewish community, and another, made up of those evangelical churches that see Israel as a fundamental step toward the advent of a new age of God. And the second has long been no less important than the first. These two lobbies have so far operated primarily on two levels: fueling the electoral campaigns (at all levels) of politicians firmly aligned with Israel, and spreading a narrative that unites the two countries not only because of a shared cultural root (Judeo-Christian, which is also popular with many European politicians), but also because of a supposed overlap in their mutual strategic interests.
This framework, however, has recently begun to crumble, and especially since Netanyahu plunged his country into a spiral of endless war and infinite cruelty, the process has accelerated. This has therefore necessitated a new, significant effort to curb this trend, which Tel Aviv perceives as extremely dangerous. And it is happening primarily through the use of various tools. First, the major social media companies have been largely "infiltrated"—so to speak—by former US and Israeli security agents, many of whom belong to the infamous Unit 8200, tasked with exerting stringent control over news, including through the progressive taming of algorithms. The Israeli government itself has subsequently signed a mega-contract worth millions with Google, essentially for the same purpose.
Major US capital, controlled by some members of the Israel Lobby, is then focusing on a process of acquisitions in traditional media, especially television, with the clear aim of creating media conglomerates capable of countering the growing "disaffection" toward Israel. And finally, the mobilization of political figures linked to these lobbies to take harsh action against any manifestation of dissent towards US policy toward Israel and, even more so, against those who support the Palestinian cause. We've already seen this action at work in universities, we're beginning to see it in the media—skillfully exploiting the Kirk murder—and it's emerging even more clearly with the rumored intention to classify the Antifa movement as a terrorist organization. This has already been done, for example, in the United Kingdom against Palestine Action.
At this point, however, a clarification is necessary. For all too obvious reasons, Israel's efforts to counter any criticism of its bellicose and genocidal policies are primarily directed at the Anglo-Saxon world, as the US and UK are the countries that give Tel Aviv the most support. It may not have escaped notice, for example, that after the simultaneous declaration by Australia, Canada, Portugal, and the United Kingdom in recognition of the state of Palestine, Israel's sharp and polemical response cited only London, completely ignoring Canberra, Ottawa, and Lisbon...
Since these are the countries crucial to Israeli security, the growth of increasingly less favorable, if not openly hostile, public opinion, especially among young people and among traditionally close forces, has made it necessary—in the eyes of the Israeli government—to open this eighth war front.
But—and here I come to the aforementioned clarification—two fundamental things must be understood. The first is that this action is taking place 'primarily' in the two Anglo-Saxon countries, but will inevitably follow in all European countries. The second is that this action fits perfectly with the interests of the ruling classes, on both sides of the Atlantic, to implement a repressive crackdown, leading to a progressive "militarization" of society—both for internal control, especially in the US, and to prepare for an external conflict, in Europe.
The ideological key that characterizes—and will increasingly do so—this process of criminalizing dissent, It can be traced back to a reactionary-conservative thought that, obviously starting with the Israeli leadership, identifies the primary threat in a (hypothetical) alliance between the radical left and Islamism. This union, which, seen from Tel Aviv, amounts to the apotheosis of anti-Semitism, obviously finds its key moment in solidarity with the Palestinian cause. At the same time, and for different reasons, European and US leaders also tend to see these two strands as the embryo of a threat, even outside of the Israeli question. This shared interest, therefore, will push both to tighten security restrictions, using this hypothetical alliance as a justifying bogeyman. What we are already seeing in Germany, the United Kingdom, and even in the Netherlands—which is preparing to declare Antifa a terrorist organization—is merely a harbinger of things to come. In Europe, partly because of historical memory and partly because electoral competition comes primarily from the right (Refôme UK, AfD, Rassemblement National, etc.), it's possible that this shift will also manifest itself against some fringes of the right. But the main thrust remains against the "natural" enemy, the left.
Naturally, each country has its own history, and therefore the methods and intensity with which this plan is implemented may differ. Italy and Spain, for example, are certainly very different from Germany. But the less visible, but no less significant, elements should not be underestimated. Italy, for example, not only has an unfortunate history of clandestine control by the most reactionary forces linked to NATO (Stay Behind, P2), but also a current—and largely unacknowledged—connection with Israeli intelligence. Long gone are the days when, under the famous "Moro decree," Italy established not only a quasi-Arab foreign policy, but a veritable "truce" with the Palestinian resistance groups (the PFLP in particular). This truce consisted of a guarantee that Italy would not be the site of attacks, in exchange for a sort of "exempt" for Palestinian groups. Today, on the contrary, Italy is a safe haven for foreign intelligence services. Consider the case of Abu Omar, kidnapped in the center of Milan by CIA agents—who were later convicted for that "extraordinary rendition," and subsequently pardoned by President Mattarella. Consider the case of the Gooduria boat, which capsized in Lake Maggiore, carrying Italian and Israeli agents who were to carry out a "secret operation" (the Israeli survivors were repatriated on a military flight before being interrogated). Let us recall the mysterious sinking of the yacht Bayesian, near Palermo, whose wreck was inspected at the bottom of the sea by British intelligence agents before being inspected by Italian investigators…
Our country, which is still a natural aircraft carrier projected into the Mediterranean, remains at the center of US, British, and Israeli strategic interests. These, in turn, are bound by an ironclad pact. Therefore, there's no reason to count on an Italian "diversity." If it exists, it's entirely to their advantage. Therefore, we must remain vigilant.
