As has been said several times on these pages, a serious problem for the collective West, and in particular for that part of it that gathers in the shadow of NATO, is that sort of autism that distinguishes it - where this term is intended to allude to the barrier of incommunicability that is constantly erected between the (diplomatic and strategic) thinking of the leadership and the actual reality.
